Roots across generations

Opening the World to a New Generation.

A cultural and service-learning experience in development through a future collaboration with Clutch Recruits USA.

This fellowship is in development. Funding, safeguarding, travel and legal structures must be complete before any application opens. A fellowship place is not part of a tree dedication and is never sold with one.

Felice's Farm is developing an annual experience for young people who may never otherwise have the opportunity to travel abroad. Participants will experience southern Italian history, agriculture and culture while learning digital storytelling, documenting the grove and helping preserve the stories connected to it.

They will come to learn, contribute, create and return home with a broader understanding of history, identity and what may be possible for their own lives.

What the experience will include.

Cultural education

Language, food, craft and daily life in a mountain village of southern Italy.

Migration history

Why families left, where they went, and what they carried with them.

Agricultural learning

How an olive grove is planned, planted and cared for across seasons.

Digital storytelling

Writing, editing and publishing a story that belongs to someone else.

Oral history

Interviewing with care, listening well and recording faithfully.

Photography and documentary work

Documenting the grove, the village and the people who work there.

Grove mapping

Recording tree locations, rows and Tree IDs as the grove is established.

Supervised participation

Age-appropriate, supervised time in the grove alongside experienced workers.

Local cultural visits

Nearby towns, producers, museums and historical sites.

Participant portfolios

Each participant leaves with finished work of their own.
