Every tree has a number, a place, and a name
A dedication is only meaningful if it can be found again. Each tree at Felice's Farm is recorded in a register by lot, row, and position, so the tree carrying a name today is the same tree carrying it in five years.
How a tree reference is built
Every reference has four parts, read from the farm inward to the single tree. The reference is assigned when a dedication is confirmed and it does not change.

The lots
The grove is divided into lots, and each lot is planted row by row. Founding dedications are assigned in the order they are confirmed, beginning with the first row of the Felice Lot.

Lot B, The Morning Lot
The eastern block, first to take the light. Opened once Lot A is fully dedicated.

If a tree is lost to weather, disease, or accident, it is replaced at our cost and the replacement keeps the same reference. The register records the original planting date and the date of any replanting, so the history of the dedication stays intact.

A sample certificate
Every dedication receives a certificate carrying the name, the words chosen for the plaque, and the tree reference. It is issued digitally once the tree is planted and can be printed on heavy paper at home or by a printer of your choosing.
